Wheel of Fortune one letter puzzle answer amazes enthusiasts

Finding the solution to a "Wheel of Fortune" puzzle with one letter uncovered is a challenging task to say the least. Some would say that only luck could cut via the huge odds against accomplishment. But as 26-year-old contestant Caitlin Burke lately proved to Pat Sajak, Vanna White and also the rest of the world, if one has a "good feeling" about this, the impossible can become possible.

The ‘Wheel of Fortune’ one letter solution hit like lightning

As Burke got the 27-letter puzzle answer, Pat Sajak had probably the most amazing look being seen. Burke beat the odds on the "Wheel of Fortune" game show better than any contestant since 1975 when the show first begun. The solution to the "Wheel of Fortune" puzzle with one letter showing was "I’ve got a good feeling about this.".

All she had to work with had been a solitary "L.". Another contestant had already eliminated the letter "R" as a possible choice.

Caitlin Burke’s amazing play has some conspiracy theorists out there thinking the fix was in, accounts Access Hollywood. The idea is not supported though. No evidence had been brought forth.

Was it just good luck?

In an interview with the CBS "Early Show," Burke revealed her thought process leading up to the "Wheel of Fortune" 1 letter answer. She knew the first word had been a contraction that began with 1 letter, which had to be an "I.". Burke didn't try and think about all the letters that were still missing in the puzzle. This is what she said on the "Early Show". Through "years of practice and watching," Burke was able to make a guess that had been 50 percent educated, one half good luck. A $6,500 Caribbean escape is what she ended up with. In total, she won $53,618 in money and prizes during her run as champion.

Spinning for additional money is what Burke didn't do

Caitlin Burke had been just playing it safe as the conclusion that most people got when trying to determine why she quit. She is definitely good with puzzles. She did hit "Bankrupt" already though which might have encouraged her to quit. She put the single "L" and went for the solution as opposed to risking one more spin.
