Thanksgiving day can feel like a big theatrical production. Typically, entire families are together for the day. There are not exactly a lot of good Thanksgiving recipes for children, though. With the right Thanksgiving recipes for kids, you are able to use their help to make your day easier.
Making Thanksgiving with kids recipes
You could use Thanksgiving recipes for children that call for making something just for kids to eat. It is better, though, to actually involve kids in making something that everyone can enjoy. The problem is that most “classic” Thanksgiving recipes involve pots of boiling water, hot ovens and otherwise typically dangerous situations for children. Keep in mind, though, that there are plenty of places that you can easily integrate Thanksgiving recipes for children into your meal.

Drinks are probably the easiest way to get kids involved with Thanksgiving recipes. Non-alcoholic drinks could be mixed by kids as young as four or five. An adult will mix two cans of limeade concentrate with an 8 ounce bag of frozen strawberries before your Thanksgiving party. You have to refreeze the mixture. Two small containers could be used for this. Come Thanksgiving Day, give children the responsibility of using a potato masher to mix one container of the drink concentrate with 1 liter of carbonated water or lemon-lime soda to create a fancy strawberry lime slush punch.

You'll have to mix together ¾ cup sugar, honey, agave nectar or other sweetener with 1 teaspoon vanilla, an orange, ½ cup orange juice and two cups of raw cranberries. Filling water glasses and mashing potatoes could be done by any age child. Don't have only children foods for the children table this year.
