I remember that in high school we weren’t allowed to wear bandannas

All of the staff thought that it meant the person wearing it was in a gang. I tried to wear one for a band program once. The whole idea of the program was that we were in jail. We were supposed to dress up in orange jumpsuits and do our hair as if we were just in jail. When I wore a bandanna, I got sent to the principal's office along with a couple other people in it. They were mad at us for our bandannas but not the costumes that implied we were in jail. Sometimes things are so messed up in this world of ours.
