Taking things a step further, 11 percent of respondents have been or know somebody who was fired for inappropriate conduct. Apparently there were 4 percent who insulted a boss or knew somebody who did. The same goes for the 7 percent who insulted a colleague.

The Adecco survey showed that few people said hookups happened at workplace Christmas parties, report Fast Company. Remember these were the individuals admitting to it. It makes sense that only about 3 percent of workers would be willing to admit that hooking up with a co-worker occurred at the holiday office party.

Getting drunk and mouthing off at the office Christmas party is a bad idea, particularly during a recession. Make sure you have individuals there to stop you in case you have an office crush and too much booze.
