Google created a search algorithm to get rid of negative online stores in response to a New York Times article about an eye wear site called DecorMyEyes.com. For years there have been complaints from DecorMyEyes getting it on web watchdog. Within the Times article it talked about DecorMyEyes. All the complaints on ripping customers off, threatening and bullying were addressed. Customers will leave remarks. The more unsatisfied they are, the more comments you get. The negative comments are used to boost the site. Google Search results make it higher with more comments. The more hits it collected, the more sales it made and the more customers it abused. The vicious cycle was negative for consumers. DecorMyEyes was the top site on Google.
Google halts DecorMyEyes
Google decided to get an algorithmic solution together so negative retailers like DecorMyEyes wouldn't be rewarded for negative assistance after the Times wrote its article. The Amit Singhal team for Google said the algorithmic solution began fast. This took place on Thursday. The way that Google detects negative retailers online was not detected by Singhal. However, page seven was where you had to look to discover DecorMyEyes on Thurs if you searched.
