Many Dancing With The Stars fans were shocked last night by the DWTS results. There were so many fans in disbelief last night that some are now asking if Dancing With The Stars voting is rigged. The stars that had the lowest judges scores, like Kate Gosselin, are still on the show. Shannen Doherty, who was solidly in the middle of the pack, was eliminated. Did America’s voting really save the stars that seem to need cash now, or is it something more sinister?

Dancing With The Stars results are figured on a half-and-half system. Judge scoring counts for half of the DWTS results, call-in votes count for the other half. Put simply, Buzz Aldrin’s moon-walking cha-cha-cha needed twice the call-in votes of Shannen Doherty’s dance. Producers do have quite a bit of say in how DWTS is produced, just like every other “reality” show. While their exact hand in the production of the show remains mostly in the filming, partnerships and staging, some are wondering if they’ve over-reached with DWTS Season 10. Before voting, Kate Gosselin was thought to be the next DWTS elimination. Buzz Aldrin was the other DWTS results “favorite” for removal, with the biggest point deficit for making up. Instead of Buzz and Kate, the bottom two included Pamela and Shannen. Are the DWTS producers keeping Kate Gosselin on the show just to increase ratings?
